Dr Anon is a therapist or counselor who saw a special need among the population on 4chan. Especially the need for confidentiality and sympathy, so you don't have to worry about being 5250'd because you admitted wanting to unexist yourself.
My background... because it matters. Conventional wisdom says the therapist background shouldn't matter, but honestly it does affect how clients perceive you and feel comfortable around you, and also can influence the way how the therapist perceives their clients problems and their advice. I am a Christian, though I have been agnostic before. I am not going to push religion on you because I know you can't just Jesus things away, but it may unintentionally affect the type of advice I may give you (compared to if I was Muslim).
